What’s is Earth+30?

Picture yourself sitting at your dining room table 30 years from today. You just finished dinner, maybe had a glass of wine with your wife, your family, and/or friends. It is one of those moments when you are "reflecting" on your life. What did you do to get yourself, your family, your community....your world to this specific place? What was your role? What choices did you make? How did you participate? Did you lead, or follow? Where did you act like an owner, and where did you act like a renter? Or maybe you just booked a room. No one knows but you. Everything on this website is a call to action. We face a very uncertain future, currently threatened by big money, dictatorial powers and thuggish political entities. Am I alarmist? Maybe, but probably not. If one is looking at facts, you would have to agree that our democratic governments are threatened throughout the world. I am not one to sit and let others make decisions I should be making for myself. Are you? These initial podcasts are here to make all of us think bigger and understand that we each can make a substantial difference. Hopefully, the people I interview can help each one of us to be more successful, more powerful, and more effective in our chosen missions. The podcasts on the site will provide information about people and organizations engaged in building a better future. Initially, it will probably be US centric, but hopefully will serve as a launching pad for broader discussions. I am interested in suggestions for both topics and folks to interview. I have no limit on topics. I am thinking about Climate, Energy, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Food, Labor, Education, Military, Privacy, Security, Immigration. Transportation, Infrastructure, Natural Resources. Join me! Together, we can make the changes we all know are necessary.

It is time to "Own it"

Who owns the Earth?

I do......and so do you.

Step up. Act like an owner. Wake up tomorrow morning and ask yourself, "How is my Earth doing this morning? Thugs are running Russia (and the US), climate is going crazy, corporations are tracking our every move, extremists look to kill whomever does not think their way, sexism is rampant, income inequality is out of control, species and reefs are dying, icecaps are quickly melting, deserts growing, there is racial strife, desperation, and fear. Do I need to go on?

I thought of the lyrics of a very old show, now long gone. The lyrics come to mind:

There's a holdup in the Bronx,
Brooklyn's broken out in fights.
There's a traffic jam in Harlem
That's backed up to Jackson Heights.
There's a scout troop short a child,
Khrushchev's due at Idlewild
